Located at 449 W 19th St Suite C200, Houston, TX 77008, Ginger Mule operates as a vegetarian serving Houston in Texas. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.
The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. Typical hours are 11 amβ9 pm. It is closed on Monday. On Google it holds a rating of 4.7 out of 5 from 747 reviews, which is a strong result for a vegetarian in Houston and suggests consistent service.
Houston is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Houston is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

This place is a must go for everyone (veg and non-veg). The food was so delicious and portion sizes were quite large and filling. I really enjoyed the guava cake. Such a creative dessert! Liz, our server, was attentive and considerate about our dietary needs and answered questions about the ingredients in the food items. The atmosphere was also very relaxed and pleasant.

The restaurant itself, the servers, the atmosphere are all really nice, but the food is hit or miss for my family. Everything is vegan, which is awesome, but some things taste really good while other things just donβt have any flavor, so Iβm not sure whatβs going on! For instance, I got their crab cake appetizer, which was delicious, but their pizzas are very bland and have too many toppings, making them feel steamed rather than baked. Their lentil meatballs have been all right. Their breakfast items are generally very goodβI enjoyed their French toastβtheir butternut squash lasagna tastes very healthy, and not in a good way. If they were more consistent in their taste profile, I would come more consistently.

Went to The Ginger Mule for a birthday dinner and it was absolutely delicious. Our server Colby was attentive and kind and made good recommendations, and our non-vegan friends seemed genuinely surprised and happy with all their dishes. I got the sesame ginger noodles which was AMAZING, and my wife tried the ceviche which was very flavorful and refreshing. Crab puffs (not pictured) are my favorite appetizer but Iβm really glad we tried the spicy edamame as well, really good flavor (and not as spicy as Blue Sushi Sake Grill, which are delicious but a little too much heat for me π ) The enchiladas and supreme pizza looked really good, I want to try those next time- and the guava cheesecake and brownie were delicious π€€

Out one evening with a friend who is vegetarian so decided to take her here. Iβm not vegetarian but I still enjoy good food and Ginger mule didnβt disappoint. This may be my new go-to vegan spot. Had a few appetizers and each were excellent and the Matcha Mojito (non alcoholic) was very good. Pretty reasonably priced as well and ambiance was on point.

Firstly, the service and atmosphere are great. The 3 stars is solely food based. I think it's terrific that everything is vegan but the food wasn't seasoned. It lacked flavor. The table next to us asked for salt π§ and I knew why when my food came. We ordered quite a few dishes and of the 6 of us, no one loved their dish. Two positives are they were beautifully presented and had good quality fresh ingredients. The brussel sprouts were tasty. The oyster mushrooms were another favorite of the group. If I went again I would try the Fried Rice your way or the avocado toast. What to get: Brussel sprouts, sweet potato π fries, oyster mushrooms What not to get: Green broth soup
